 | This
walk could also be called Paris and the Expos, since the majority of its attractions
and monuments were planned and built for Universal and World Expositions. On the
Trocadero side, one can find a green square surrounded by the Palais de Chaillot
which accomodates the museums of Humankind, Navy and Cinema, facing the famous
Eiffel tower. The tower is accessible by simply crossing the Seine river through
the Iena bridge . The Champs de Mars is a long green area well known as it is
the foundations of the Eiffel tower. It allows a nice open sight, ended by the
Military School palace. Major commemorations often take place there, and in these
occasions, the tower is iluminated by fireworks. |
